Houssam heads the litigation department. He has extensive experience in setting appropriate strategies to resolve conflicts and in representing the Firm’s clients in litigation. He provides the clients counseling on the legal issues they face, especially matters in commercial law, real estate law, labor law, insurance law and white-collar crime.
Prior to joining Aziz Torbey Law Firm, Houssam acquired a strong experience and knowledge in public administration and administrative law while working as editor at the Lebanese Council of Civil Service Board and participating in an intensive six-months training about general administration.
He has several publications about abusive dismissals, penalty clauses, white collar crimes and arbitration clauses. He appears frequently in the media where he is asked to address current and critical legal topics. He is a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1997.
Houssam is actively involved in community, social and environmental service organizations and is a founding member of “Justice without Limits” a human rights organization mainly concerned with the rights of foreign detainees and youth in conflict with the law.
