Marie has been serving the Firm’s clients for more than 30 years, assisting and providing businesses and corporations with legal advice tailored to their day-to-day legal needs, including advising on the most appropriate SPV for their businesses, domiciliation, tax planning and counsel concerning the best/right jurisdiction to incorporate offshore companies based on the intended use of the said companies, the personal and business circumstances of the owners and the region where the companies intend to trade.
Marie further assists individuals, families and family-owned businesses in connection with corporate governance, strategic planning, management of wealth, and the design and implementation of tax-efficient strategies for the transfer of wealth to family members and others.
As the head of the Firm’s international commerce practice, she also advises all international clients on their business in Lebanon and the region, including but not limited to setting up branches and representative offices; distribution agreements, franchises and commercial representations; labor agreements and alternative contractual relationships with Lebanese service providers; regulatory and tax requirements, etc.
Marie is a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1978.
