Prior to joining Eptalex – Dubai, Anthony initially worked at a reputable Lebanese law firm where he acquired a wide experience in corporate, banking, Intellectual property law as well as litigation. From 2012 until 2015, and before pursuing his LL.M. degree, Anthony was based in Iraq as the head of the Erbil Office of a reputable international law firm where he managed the office and provided legal services to local and international clients.
Throughout his career, Anthony handled prominent cases. He advised on the corporate, commercial, agency, intellectual property and labor laws compliance requirements for top-tier international and regional media, pharmaceutical and software companies. He also conducted multi-jurisdictional due diligence, advised and drafted legal documentation for the acquisition, by a Washington D.C. based international financial corporation, of shares in a local telecommunication company. Furthermore, he represented obligors to a Credit Facility Agreement by directly participating in the negotiation, due diligence procedures and review of the agreement and other finance documents. Anthony also negotiated and led the acquisition of an Iraqi pre-cast factory by a local group of companies. He also handled the incorporation of legal entities including the coordination and provision of legal counseling with respect to the incorporation of corporate entities, start of business strategies and regulatory compliance.
Anthony’s practice included drafting legal memoranda and agreements such as shareholders agreements, joint venture, partnership, franchise and sub-franchise to local and international clients. He specifically reviewed agreements related to the transfer of exclusive sports broadcasting rights in the MENA region. He also secured the anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting operations in Lebanon for top-tier pharmaceutical and software companies.
Anthony represented clients before Lebanese courts and acted as legal advisor in numerous lawsuits filed before the Erbil and the Dubai Courts, mainly in the fields of corporate, business, intellectual property and tort law.
Anthony is a member of Beirut Bar Association since 2009 and is affiliated to its Institute for Human Rights. He is also a member of the Lebanese-Kurdish Business Association (Erbil).
