Elie has practiced in both Lebanon and Dubai for many years, gaining experience in corporate, insurance, banking, real estate & construction and litigation matters. He is skilled at creating agreements for businesses in the MENA region, with a focus on Lebanon, UAE and Iraq, always cautious of the pitfalls potentially conflicting national laws can create. Elie’s calming demeanor can bring tranquility to otherwise tense negotiations. He makes himself available to clients in both our Beirut and Dubai offices seamlessly.
Elie has consistently been involved in major cross border projects and transactions. As such, he is skilled in drafting agreements for the international sale of goods, between shareholders, agency, joint venture, franchise, licensing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, credit facilities, FIDIC, and real estate development.
Moreover, Elie advised clients on several major acquisitions in UAE and Lebanon, and thus drafted due diligence reports, letters of Intent, complex purchase of shares agreements and other related documents.
Elie also represents clients before Lebanese Courts, Dubai Courts, Abu Dhabi Courts, and Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC), mainly in the fields or corporate, commercial, insurance, real estate, labor and intellectual property.
Elie is a member of the Beirut Bar Association. He is also registered as Legal Consultant at The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department.
