Samantha uses her experience in the United States and throughout the MENA region to develop strategies for companies embarking on international ventures and cross-border expansions.
Drawing inspiration from each entrepreneur’s passion for their products, Samantha creates corporate structures for intellectual property protection and tax efficiency, protects copyrights and trademarks (and fair use exceptions), and counsels clients on a wide range of transactional matters to ensure entrepreneurs are concerned with the next stage of growth, not looking backwards at compliance issues. Her training as a mediator can defuse tensions in negotiations while her tenacity makes her a strong advocate when necessary.
Prior to joining Eptalex, Samantha advised technology and real estate startups as well as companies involved in healthcare based in or operating in MENA. She has considerable contract knowledge in a variety of areas such as international distribution, share and asset purchases, provision of services, joint ventures, non-disclosure, confidentiality and others. Before moving to Lebanon, she dabbled in criminal defense and aiding non-profits, taking part in multiple pro-bono clinics and travelling North Carolina to give presentations on the rights of undocumented minor immigrants and teen parents.
She joined the Virginia State Bar in 2013 and is waiting to take her oath for the United States Virgin Islands Bar.
